About Southampton
Located on the south coast of England, Southampton is home to three of our sites.
Southampton Pentalver totals around 24 acres and includes a road haulage operation, container storage, container maintenance and repair, reefer services, cargo handling and our specialist transport department to transport loose and project cargo.
From Freightliner Southampton, we serve Barry Dock, Birmingham (including Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal), Cardiff, Coatbridge, Daventry, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester as well as an ad-hoc service to Bristol.
Freightliner’s Southampton Millbrook site is used for wagon storage and maintenance as well as office space for a number of colleagues from our IT and commercial teams.

Southampton Maritime Maintenance Depot (SMMD) is the main facility supporting the Intermodal wagon fleets undertaking planned maintenance, repairs and wheel exchanges.

The Freightliner Maritime terminal is located within Southampton port and utilises the highly efficient sprinter straddle carriers operated by DP World.
